Message from Dana Hurwitz:

A motivated and supportive tutor for grades K-8, I specialize in math, reading, and writing. I focus on helping my students and their parents navigate the learning process through personalized instruction and advocacy in Instructional and Gifted support meetings.

Dedicated to meeting students’ academic and emotional needs, As a PA-certified teacher with a Master’s in Elementary Education and 25-plus years of experience working with students K-8, I offer the help you need right now.

As the schools begin announcing their plans for the fall, parents are concerned about balancing their kids’ schooling and activities with the demands of their own careers. Many want someone to reinforce and enhance what the schools provide.

Together with you and your child, I will develop an individual plan to meet their needs.  I have worked with students with all goals and needs, from those with IEPs to those needing enrichment to stay engaged and growing academically. As an educator, tutor, homeschool teacher, and mother I know the importance of seeing your child as an individual.  The program I develop for your child will be organized, focused, and fun.
