TEST PREP SERVICES

Dr. Nathan Hurwitz, a tenured university professor with degrees from NYU, Northwestern, and the University of Pittsburgh, offers one-on-one test preparation for all academic testing.  “In addition to comprehensively addressing all skills and knowledge-based information, I provide a thorough understanding of how each test works, offering test-taking skills, tricks, and tips unique to each specific exam.” 

College Entrance Exams:

PSAT/NMSQT Exam (Preliminary SAT and NationalMerit Scholarship Qualifying Test) – The exams that lead up to the SAT and ACT.

SAT (College Entrance Exam) – Students who have prepared for the SAT with me have seen their scores increase by more than 26%. All practice exams and other materials are provided – your comprehensive exam preparation includes multiple full-length practice exams. In our prep sessions we will address the English, evidence-based reading, and math skills required to excel in this exam, building appropriate vocabulary, learning the tricks and tips to help you optimize your SAT score.

SAT Subject Tests include: Math Level 1, Math Level 2, Biology E/M, Physics, English, U.S. History, and World History.

ACT (College Entrance Exam) – Students who have prepared for the ACT with me have seen their scores increase by more than 30%. All practice exams and other materials are provide – your comprehensive preparation includes multiple full-length practice exams. In our prep sessions we will address the math, science, reading, and English skills required to excel in this exam, building appropriate vocabulary, learning the tricks and tips to help you optimize your ACT score.

All Graduate School Entrance Exams:

For all graduate exams, I work with you to create a study schedule specifically designed for you, to fit your study habits, score goal, and timetable.  We will meet on or more times each week to monitor your progress and ensure your adherence to your timetable.  I am your coach, mentor, advisor, and conscience.

GRE – Students who have prepared for the GRE with me have seen increases of more than 11 percentile rankings. Comprehensive preparation for the GRE, including all subject matter in Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical areas and GRE-specific test taking skills – tips and tricks for optimizing your score. All materials and practice exams provided. Students who have prepared for the GRE with me have seen increases of more than 11 percentile rankings.

GMAT (MBA/Graduate Business School Exam) – Students who have prepared for the GMAT with me have seen increases of more than 12 percentile ranking. Comprehensive preparation for the GMAT, including Verbal, Mathematical, Analytic, Writing, and Integrated Reasoning knowledge and skills, as well as GMAT-specific test taking skills – tips and tricks for optimizing your score. All materials and practice exams provided.

LSAT (Law School Entrance Exam) – Students who have worked with me preparing for the LSAT have added up to 23 points to their score. Comprehensive preparation for the LSAT exam, including Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, and Logic Games skills, as well as LSAT-specific test taking skills – tips and tricks for optimizing your LSAT score. All materials, Logic Games, and practice exams will be provided to you.

MCAT (Medical School Entrance Exam) – Students who have worked with me preparing for the MCAT have added up to 18 points to their score. Comprehensive preparation for the MCAT exam, including Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems; Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills; Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems; and Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior, as well as MCAT-specific test taking skills – tips and tricks for optimizing your score. All materials and practice exams will be provided.
